Bosch Auto Parts (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a branch of German multinational engineering and electronics company Bosch in SIP, received the permit on Mar 11 for building the pile foundation of the second phase of the R&D and manufacturing base for development and production of core components and automatic driving systems for new energy vehicles in SIP.
The R&D and manufacturing base is located in SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone. The first phase of the project, with a land area of 146 mu (about 9.7 hectares), broke ground in March last year, and is expected to come into trial production in September.
Like the other Bosch projects in SIP, the second phase of the R&D and manufacturing base, which will cover a land area of 117 mu (7.8 hectares), has received great support from local authorities so that it could be launched soon after the land use contract was signed at the end of last month.
