Suzhou Basecare Medical Corporation Limited (Basecare)’s new industrial base, which is being built in SIP, was roofed on Oct 28.
Founded in SIP in 2010, Basecare has been engaged in developing high-throughput sequencing solutions for reproduction and healthcare. The PGT (preimplantation genetic testing)-A kit developed by Basecare for detection of chromosome abnormalities of IVF embryos has filled the clinical blank of embryo gene detection in the country, and its PGT-M and PGT-SR kits are among the key research and development tasks outlined in the country’s 14th five-year plan.
The new project, with a total floor area of 71,583 square meters, including 22,742 square meters for R&D and 34,256 for production, will be the biggest facility of its kind in the assisted reproductive technology sector.
