The program called “Go Jiangsu - Footsteps in Jiangsu: Foreign Youth’s Travelogue” was launched in SIP on March 29. More than 10 young people from Russia, Germany, the United States, France, Cameroon, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Turkmenistan and Iran participated in the launch ceremony.

The program was jointly sponsored by the Information Office of the People’s Government of Jiangsu province and China Daily, an English-language daily newspaper in China.

The Foreign Youth’s Travelogue is one of the Go Jiangsu activities. From 2018, various Go Jiangsu activities have been held throughout the province on more than 20 occasions, with more than 200 young people from overseas taking part in the offline activities to showcase Jiangsu to the world.

At the launch ceremony, the Report on the View of Global Youth on Jiangsu was published. The report is based on a survey which included responses from hundreds of young people from 60 countries, among whom 60 percent said they had visited or lived in Jiangsu, the longest period of residence being eight years. Respondents said what attracted them most to Jiangsu was its “beautiful environment” and “robust economy”.

Moreover, the participants of the program shared stories about their experiences in Jiangsu, and several of them performed the Chinese song “Molihua (Jasmine Flower)”.

It is reported that these young people will visit many places in Jiangsu to gain a deep understanding of the province.
