Between 00:00 and 24:00, May 11, Suzhou reported no local confirmed cases and 4 local asymptomatic cases (1 detected during quarantine in Wujiang District, 1 detected during quarantine in Taicang, 2 detected during screening among key groups in Zhangjiagang).
About the new local asymptomatic cases:
Asymptomatic Case No. 1
A traveler coming to Suzhou from other city (province); living in other city (province). The case was detected during quarantine.
Asymptomatic Case No. 2
Close contact of asymptomatic case No. 1 reported on May 11; a company employee in Taicang; living in staff quarters of the company. The case was detected during quarantine.
Asymptomatic Case No. 3
An institution employee in Zhangjiagang; living in Chengde Residential Compound (Phase 2), Houcheng Subdistrict, Zhangjiagang Bonded Zone. The case was detected during screening among key groups.
Asymptomatic Case No. 4
Family member of asymptomatic case No. 3; living in Chengde Residential Compound (Phase 2), Houcheng Subdistrict, Zhangjiagang Bonded Zone. The case was detected during screening among key groups.
All the aforementioned new asymptomatic cases have been transferred to designated medical facilities for quarantine and medical observation and are in stable condition.
We call on all citizens to continue taking self-imposed prevention measures, including wearing face masks, washing hands frequently, ventilating and disinfecting more often and maintaining social distance, and actively cooperate in various epidemic control efforts.
