Between 0:00 and 24:00, November 20, Suzhou reported one local confirmed case detected in screening among key groups. 46 local asymptomatic cases were registered. Among them, 41 were detected in quarantine, three in screening among key groups, one in screening among close contacts, and one in cooperative COVID-19 investigation.
About Confirmed Case No. 1:
Traveler from other province; detected in screening among key groups. The case took Train Z218/Z215 (No. 19 Lower Berth of Carriage No. 19/standing ticket) from other province, arrived at Suzhou Railway Station at 14:00, November 18, and tested negative in "arrival test". The case was diagnosed as a COVID-19 confirmed case with mild symptoms.
According to the epidemiological investigation, the case went to JUN Hotels (Banbianjie branch) in Gusu District, Shantang Street, Huayuan Street in Mudu Town, Wuzhong District, Zhengxin Chicken Steak (Huayuan Street branch), Jinlin Hotel, Pod Inn (Jinshan Road branch), Laomiao Jewelry Store (Jinshan Road branch), Valuable Jewelry Store (Jinshan Road branch), Laofengxiang Jewelry Store (Cuifang Street branch), Women's World Shopping Mall (Cuifeng North Street), China Gold Jewelry Store (Flagship Store in Mudu), and Jinsha Guoji Supermarket (Rongzuan branch) before quarantine.
The new confirmed case has been transferred to a designated medical facility for quarantine and medical observation and is in stable condition.

Close contact of Confirmed Case No. 1; living in Dashitou Lane in Gusu District; detected in screening among close contacts.
According to the epidemiological investigation, the case went to the same places as Confirmed Case No. 1 before quarantine.

For people whose travel history overlaps with that of the cases and those who receive calls (messages) and are requested to cooperate in COVID-19 investigation by reason of abnormal nucleic acid test results or close contacts, they should immediately call 12345 or 110, or report to local anti-epidemic authorities, and cooperate in such measures as epidemiological investigation, nucleic acid testing, health management, etc. After reporting, do take proper self-protection measures, avoid going out or having contact with others, and stay put for the medical staff to carry out follow-up prevention and control measures. Those who intentionally conceal or fail to report in a timely manner and thus cause the transmission of the coronavirus will be held accountable in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
For those who have been to low-risk or high-risk areas recently, return to their destinations after coming from overseas and finishing quarantine, and come (return) to Suzhou from other provinces, especially those from epidemic-related areas including Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Xizang autonomous region, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Xining of Qinghai province, Shijiazhuang and Xingtai of Hebei province, Zhaodong and Anda of Heilongjiang province, Henan province, Guangzhou of Guangdong province, Chongqing, Chengdu of Sichuan province, and Lanzhou of Gansu province, they should register their information on the "Information Registration Platform for Arriving Travelers" in advance or report to the residential communities (villages), accommodating hotels or employers at their destinations, and cooperate in "arrival test". Travelers from other provinces should take three tests within three days and undergo personal health monitoring. Hotels, B&Bs, bathing places where people can stay overnight and other lodgings should strictly assume responsibilities to check relevant documents of visitors, remind those from other provinces to take "arrival test" and three nucleic acid tests within three days, and report at once when detecting people from high-risk areas.
