A conference was held in SIP on Apr 8 for the purpose of promoting the development of SIP toward an open, innovative world-class high-tech park. The representatives from authorities at provincial and city levels participated.
The event started with a roundup of SIP’s achievements in striving for the goal and arrangements for this year’s work.
According to statistics revealed at the event, SIP last year introduced 188 projects with single-project investment exceeding RMB100 million and total investment approaching RMB110 billion, and the accumulative number of foreign-invested projects reached more than 5,100. Besides, remarkable achievements were made in enhancing innovation capacity, improving industrial system and improving people’s well-being.
At the conference, SIP authorities vowed to fulfill a set of goals in such aspects as talent introduction and cultivation, industrial development and scientific and technological innovation.
Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission and other related authorities jointly drafted the “Major Tasks in 2024” with the aim of supporting SIP to develop into an open, innovative world-class high-tech park. The representatives from these authorities provided suggestions for SIP’s arrangements and policies for development this year.
