SIP People’s Congress Working Committee and the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Gusu District of Suzhou jointly made a survey on commerce and trade development on Mar 14.
The People’s Congress working committees of five sub-districts of SIP and those of eight sub-districts of Gusu District established partnerships during the event.
The representatives from the two parties visited China Central Place Suzhou and Yanlord Cangjie, two commercial complexes in Suzhou, and Meiluo Culture and Creativity Park, which was transformed from old factories. They learned details about the design, features and functions of these projects in this process.
At the later meeting, Zhang Yongqing, director of SIP People’s Congress Working Committee, hoped that the two parties could enhance communication in the future to learn experience from each other and collaborate in promoting development of commerce and trade in Suzhou.
Li Xiaoping, director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Gusu District of Suzhou, hoped the two parties would expand cooperation in the future to give full play to the role of People’s Congress deputies to help accelerate economic growth of SIP and Gusu District.
