The first plenary session of the joint conference of deputies to people’s congress in SIP was held on Jan 6. The event brought together representatives from the CPC SIP Working Committee, SIP Administrative Committee, SIP People’s Congress Working Committee and other authorities and organizations.
Shen Mi, secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, addressed the event, and Wu Hong, director of SIP Administrative Committee, made a work report on SIP’s development over the past year and goals for the year 2024.
Other reports including the work reports of SIP People’s Congress Working Committee, SIP People’s Court and SIP People’s Procuratorate and the one on the budget performance of SIP in 2023 and budgeting for 2024 were made at the conference.
The participating people’s congress deputies held discussions in groups revolving around the reports, and provided advice and suggestions for social and economic development and improvement of people’s well-being in SIP.
The reports were adopted, and decisions on a list of projects concerning people’s well-being were voted through.
