SIP authorities held a meeting on Jan 24 to make deployment for new industrialization, aiming to accelerate the building of an open, innovative world-class high-tech park.
SIP aims to, by 2026, increase the local GDP to RMB450 billion. It strives to set up two RMB300-billion-level industrial clusters focusing on new-generation information technology and high-end equipment manufacturing, and four industrial clusters focusing on biomedicine and health care, nanotech application and new materials, AI and digital industries and new energy and green industry with an output value of RMB600 billion.
Measures for fulfillment of the goals were specified at the meeting, including enhancing the upgrading of the local industrial system, gradient incubation of enterprises, guidance for scientific and technological innovation, application of digital technology, and eco-friendly development.
At the meeting, a number of entrepreneurs received honors for their contributions to new industrialization, and the representatives from SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone, Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District and several enterprises shared experience in promoting industrialization.
