A number of officials from the authorities of SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone (SIP-HMITZ), SIP Customs and other authorities attended the meeting held in the comprehensive bonded area in SIP-HMITZ on Feb 17 to discuss plans of promoting high-level opening-up and high-quality development of the area.
The comprehensive bonded area had attracted 442 enterprises with investments exceeding US$4.3 billion by the end of last year. In 2022, it recorded total imports and exports of RMB202.3 billion, and the total output value of 44 industrial enterprises above designated size in the area reached RMB36.9 billion.
Additionally, in the country’s 2021 evaluation of comprehensive bonded areas, the area ranked seventh nationwide and fourth in East China.
The meeting started with a roundup of the area’s development over the past year. Then SIP Customs and other related authorities made reports on its strengths and weaknesses. Based on that, the attendees discussed future work plans for stronger development of the area.
