Shen Mi, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of the CPC SIP Working Committee, led a survey tour to several key foreign-funded companies in SIP on May 12.
At the Suzhou branch of Eli Lilly and Company, the survey team met with the executives of the company, learning about its latest progress in discovering new drugs, localizing production and expanding business and also its needs for help from local authorities.
Shen encouraged Eli Lilly and Company to expand investment in SIP and localize the production of more innovative drugs, promising that SIP authorities will provide full support for its projects.
At the semiconductor arm of Samsung, after learning about the details about its investment plan and operations, Shen expressed thanks to Samsung’s long-term contributions to SIP’s development, hoping that it would accelerate introduction of high-end equipment and expand and diversify its business operations in SIP.
