SIP MiniBus, a minibus operator founded in SIP in 2018, has continuously added options for people who want to travel in SIP by public transport. A total of 260 blue minibuses run on roads and streets across SIP along different lines for short-distance transport, serving an average of 23,500 passengers each day.
“We take people from their residential quarters to shopping sites and subway stations. Our service is a supplement to traditional bus lines,” said Gu Qing, manager of the company’s operation management department.
SIP MiniBus put a smart scheduling platform into use in the first year of its operation. Through the platform, it can monitor traffic in real time and make adjustments in minibus scheduling according to the actual conditions on roads.
On average, the company opens three or four new lines each year. This year’s new lines are tailored for students of the new campus of Suzhou Junior High School Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University, tourists looking to visit Jinji Lake and Yangcheng Lake Peninsula, and commuters working in Yangcheng Digital Valley.
The company aims to provide more intelligent, personalized and eco-friendly services in the future.
