The China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone Suzhou Area recently unveiled the winners of its 2023 Financial Innovation Awards. A number of financial institutions and other organizations scooped the awards.
The Financial Innovation Awards celebrates financial institutions which have made remarkable financial innovations that have brought about significant economic and social benefits, and also organizations with prominent contributions to improvement of conditions for development of the finance industry.
Among the winners are banks like the SIP branches of the Bank of Suzhou and the Bank of China. The former launched the pioneering service last year to issue loans to biomedicine enterprises based on incomes of technology and intellectual property out-licensing, and the latter took the lead in Jiangsu province to provide the service for enterprises to make online foreign exchange payment for domestic freight.
Several organizations received awards for developing innovative financial instruments and digital solutions that can help improve financial service efficiency, while others for contributions to the development of green finance and the improvement of financial ecosystems.
