An event was held in SIP on Apr 18 for the purpose of fueling cross-border investment and cooperation. The participants included representatives from SIP authorities, Suzhou Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Singapore Economic Development Board, related organizations, associations and chambers of commerce in the ASEAN, and those from over 200 domestic and overseas enterprises.
The event was sponsored by United Overseas Bank (China) Limited, a branch of UOB Singapore which set up its Suzhou branch in SIP in 2015.
The event included speeches, entrepreneurs’ dialogue and a signing ceremony. The representatives from UOB and those from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore exchanged opinions on opportunities for cooperation between China and the ASEAN.
The representative from YRD Overseas Investment Promotion Center gave the participants an introduction to the center’s services for cross-border investment.
