DoGain Laser Technology Co Ltd, a tech company in SIP, unveiled its latest 980nm single-mode semiconductor laser chip and pump module on Nov 18. The new products are expected to help the country significantly reduce dependence on import of products of similar kinds for developing optical communications.
Founded in SIP in 2017, DoGain Laser has made remarkable breakthroughs in a wide range of technologies for the communications industry. Its products, including HPL chips, 980nm pumps, stacks, VCSELs and fiber coupled modules, are widely used in such fields as handicraft manufacturing, smart sensing, optical communications, medical cosmetology and scientific research.
The company’s fast growth should be partly attributed to the excellent ecosystem that SIP has created for the optoelectronics industry, where about 300 enterprises reported a total output value of RMB 42.1 billion last year.
