Recently, over 20 volunteers from the Dandelion Volunteer Team in SIP attended the meeting convened by SIP Municipal Service Group to share their experience in guiding waste sorting behaviors, hoping it will be helpful for the spread of good waste sorting habits in SIP.
It is learnt that the Dandelion Volunteer Team, composed of about 170 volunteers in 15 groups, was founded in August. The volunteers have since then served at the bus stations on about 100 streets and roads to persuade and help people to drop their waste in the right trash bins.
At the event, Zhang Qinli, an outstanding Dandelion volunteer, shared her experience in spreading right habits for waste sorting among the public and curbing bad ones, and the other volunteers also shared their experience and feelings.
The meeting was followed by a DIY activity where the participants learnt to dye recycle bags with juice of plants, during which they gained a strong awareness of embracing eco-friendly lifestyles.
