SIP sees a YoY increase in actual use of foreign investment from Jan to Aug
   
With great determination to overcome all challenges to boost economicgrowth, SIP managed to achieve a year-on-year increase of 4.1% in actual use offoreign investment in the first eight months of this year.Specifically, the actual use of foreign investment in SIP reachedUS$1.907 billion, accounting for 38.39% of the total of Suzhou city. Theforeign investment used in the high tech sector was US$1.226 billion, up 8.4%YoY.The achievements stem from a series of measures SIP has taken to supportbig projects, develop new industries and new types of business, and foster newdriving forces for economic development. Excellent projects introduced into SIP in succession
In recent years, SIP has made consistent efforts to attract projectsfeaturing large investment, innovative functions and good prospects. A numberof industrial clusters have expanded and grown into “new engines” for theindustrial park’s high-quality development.Prominent achievements have been seen in the biomedical and big healthsectors. Danaher, Santen, Philips, Nestle and many other medical and healthproducts companies have added investments in SIP, and a number of industryleaders like Olympus, Barco, Integra and Bio-Rad have launched operations in thearea. Integrated investment promotion system helps secure high-quality development
Faced with the complicated global situation, decreased cross-borderinvestment and the arduous task of economic restructuring, SIP’s investmentpromotion system has stood up to the pressure and overcome the challenges tosupport SIP’s high-quality development.Over the past 30 years, SIP has created an innovative investmentpromotion system featuring “professionality, coordination, innovation andpro-business”.
