The 2023 (2nd) Suzhou Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week is scheduled in SIP from Oct 21 to 28, with performances, exhibitions, reading sessions and other activities to enhance the cultural ties between China and France.
Based on plentiful achievements in economic, science and technology and cultural cooperation between Suzhou and Paris, the tourism authorities of SIP and Paris signed in 2021 a friendly cooperation agreement under which SIP’s Ligongdi cultural and creative block and Paris’ Montmartre established a friendship.
Last year, the first Suzhou Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week made a great success in SIP. A replica of Le mur des je t'aime, also known as “Wall of Love”, a landmark in Montmartre, was set up in Ligongdi block, becoming a new attraction beside Jinji Lake.
This year’s event will incorporate more activities in both SIP and Paris to promote cultural exchanges. The fusion of traditional and modern elements is expected to make more people fall in love with Suzhou.
