From July 11 to 15, the Experience Singapore Week in Suzhou, an event jointly organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) of Singapore and the People’s Government of Suzhou of East China’s Jiangsu province, offered people in SIP multiple ways to learn about Singapore.
The five-hour live stream on July 14 attracted over 280,000 viewers. The live-streamers led the audiences to tour around the food fair full of Singaporean and Suzhou-style food, visit a number of landmarks of Singapore and SIP, and view SIP’s 30th anniversary photography exhibition.
In an event held at Shihui Neighborhood Center, the chefs from China and Singapore chose food ingredients at the farm produce market in the center and cooked traditional Chinese and Singaporean dishes for the participants.
In addition, a number of food brands at the neighborhood center provided Singaporean food for the guests, and a zone full of Singaporean elements was created for the visitors to experience Singaporean culture in an immersive way.
