SIP Federation of Trade Unions (SIP FTU) kicked off an intangible cultural heritage fair tour at the headquarters of GCL Group on Jan 18, bringing a variety of traditional Chinese handicrafts and related culture close to the employees of the enterprise. This is the third straight year that SIP FTU organizes an event of such kind.
The intangible cultural heritage fair usually takes place around the Chinese Spring Festival which, also known as Chinese New Year, will fall on Feb 10 this year. SIP FTU hopes it can help increase enterprise employees’ sense of happiness and make non-local employees who will stay put in SIP during the Spring Festival holiday feel like home.
At the event, the enterprise’s employees had the chances to know better about an assortment of intangible cultural heritage elements of Suzhou, such as papercutting, nut carving and sugar painting, and also enjoy authentic local snacks.
According to SIP FTU, the intangible cultural heritage fair will tour to Nanopolis Suzhou, AI Industry Park, Jingcheng School and other places later.
