Sponsored by Harmony Development, a real estate and investment arm of SIP-based multi-business conglomerate Sungent Group, and co-organized by Harmony Art Center and Ming Gallery of Art, the 3rd Chinese Modern Handicraft Invitational Exhibition opened at Ming Gallery of Art, SIP on Sept 23, and will last till Oct 15. More than 100 modern handicrafts by artists from around the country are on display.
Among the exhibits are Chinese lacquer works, silver ware, pottery ware, glass works, plaited works, and wood and jade carvings, which demonstrate the creativity and unique aesthetic taste of Chinese people.
“The exhibition is expected to help facilitate mutual learning and exchanges between Chinese craft artists, and also discover young talents,” said Liao Jun, a member of the Arts and Crafts Committee of China Artists Association and one of the artists with works on display at the event.
