The First SIP Exhibition of Fine Arts Works by Youth, which is designed to encourage creation of fine arts in SIP, kicked off at Jinji Lake Art Museum, SIP on Aug 17, and will last till Sept 10.
On display are 56 works selected from about 100 entries sent in by young artists in SIP. Among the exhibits are oil paintings, traditional Chinese paintings, prints, lacquer paintings, illustrations, watercolors and sculptures.
After the opening of the exhibition, a salon session themed “Painting and Life” was held. Lu Qinglong, deputy dean and professor at School of Arts, Nanjing University, shared with the participants his opinions on art and the relations between painting and life.
