The 2022 Jiangnan Culture and Arts & International Tourism Festival that lasted in Suzhou from August to October allowed a long list of cultural and art projects and their organizers to come under the spotlight. Of them, several from SIP received honors in the evaluation during the festival.
The Publicity Department and the United Front Work Department of CPC SIP Working Committee and Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre were declared “Excellent Organizers”.
The concerts themed “Splendid Chinese Culture” and “Carmina Burana” of Suzhou Symphony Orchestra and the ballet “Spectacular Clouds” of Suzhou Ballet Theatre were selected into the “Most Popular Performances”.
The Suzhou Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week that was initiated in SIP in late October was declared one of the “Most Popular Events”.
The Dadao Comedy Theatre in Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre was selected as one of the “Best-loved Little Theaters in the Region South of the Yangtze River”.
