The 5th Xietang Public Service Week kicked off in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district on Dec 14 to provide local residents with a variety of volunteer services over the following one week.
A public-benefit service fair started after the opening ceremony, with many volunteers and social organizations offering various free services such as physical checkups and haircut.
Concurrently, a series of art performances including dances, songs and traditional operas were staged.
The event also offered the participants opportunities to learn about a list of good practices in community governance, and incorporated an award ceremony to celebrate the top 10 cases with outstanding outcomes in promoting local cultural and ideological progress.
Moreover, the 2021 “Small Wishes” Program was launched to give local needy families a helping hand in overcoming difficulties and help their children receive better education.
