Following the planning outline that the government of East China’s Jiangsu province issued in April in order to promote integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region, SIP Social Security and Provident Fund Management Center (SIP-SSPFMC) has launched a series of services to provide convenience for people commuting between SIP and the neighboring city Shanghai.
SIP-SSPFMC has set up a special service zone to offer 15 services concerning social insurance, medical insurance and provident fund in collaboration with competent authorities of Shanghai’s Yangpu District.
These services allow people who retired in Shanghai to enjoy their pension benefits in SIP, and people covered by SIP’s medical insurance system to enjoy corresponding rights and privileges at hospitals in Shanghai. Besides, the provident fund services allow cross-regional use of provident funds for house loans or rents.
Moreover, SIP-SSPFMC has improved its online services for insurance transfer between SIP and other areas in the YRD region.
SIP-SSPFMC said it will enhance efforts in the future to break down the barriers in related services between these areas to help facilitate integration of the YRD region.
