SIP People’s Congress Working Committee convened a meeting on Aug 7 to collect opinions on the 14th five-year economic and social development plans that the governments of East China’s Jiangsu province and Suzhou city and SIP authorities are drafting.
At the event, Lu Wanliang, deputy director of SIP Economic Development Committee, gave the participants a specific introduction to the efforts and progress that the authorities at different levels have made so far in drafting the new five-year plans as well as the focuses under the plans.
After that, eight deputies to the people’s congresses at provincial, municipal and district levels offered advice on the plans’ content concerning regional development, infrastructure construction, improvement of people’s livelihood and other issues.
