SIP is dabbling deeper into the innovative “industry + tourism” mode to make travel in it more attractive and enjoyable.
At the Suzhou Yili Industrial Park, visitors can learn details about Chinese dairy producer Yili Group’s pastures, dairy cows and dairy products, watch the process of milk production, packaging and delivery, and taste fresh milk and yogurt.
At the 750,000-square-meter modern passenger vehicle manufacturing base of King Long United Automotive Industry (Suzhou) Co Ltd, visitors can tour around the smart factory following the AI-powered robotic guide, try a ride in an unmanned module, learn knowledge on traffic safety and ways of coping with bus accidents, and assemble bus models together with their kids.
Jiang Sixu Workshop, a time-honored brand boasting traditional Chinese painting pigment making techniques that have been inscribed on the national intangible cultural heritage list, offers visitors an exhibition of pigments as well as opportunities to create a unique color with selected pigments.
SIP is looking for other industrial enterprises that can serve as demonstration sites for industrial tours, and new travel routes featuring science dissemination and study will be developed.
