The event held in SIP’s BioBAY on May 21 set a bridge between eight university research projects and investors and other potential partners.
The event highlighted eight outcomes from Soochow University, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Jiangnan University and other higher education institutions, which demonstrated breakthroughs in research on new materials for aesthetic medicine, health products and other healthcare solutions.
Several companies and investment organizations showed interest in cooperation in these projects. The companies discussed with the project teams challenges to be faced by these projects, and the investors made specific analysis of the value of the projects.
Moreover, the representatives from related authorities explained in detail a set of incentives designed to support commercialization of university research outcomes.
The National University Biotechnology Regional Transfer and Transformation Center (Suzhou, Jiangsu), the organizer of the event, said it would organize a series of events of this kind to facilitate commercialization of innovative healthcare technologies developed in schools.
