SIP recently announced a three-year action plan with the aim of fueling a rapid rise of the biomedical and big health industries from 2025 to 2027.
The plan covers major fields in these industries including innovative drugs, high-end medical devices and a wide range of health services. By implementing the plan, SIP aims to help five top enterprises in these sectors grow into leading enterprises with international competitiveness, and 50 landmark enterprises into leaders in specific segments of the industries. It also aims to nurture 100 blockbuster products with an annual sales exceeding RMB100 million, and help 100 key products gain marketing approval.
Based on the plan, SIP will enhance efforts to introduce projects and enhance support for them in all development stages. It will support development, manufacturing and marketing of blockbuster products, and strengthen efforts to promote improvement of related industrial ecosystems.
