Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission of China and several other authorities jointly released the 29th list of National Enterprise Technology Centers. BrightGene Bio-Medical Technology Co Ltd, an innovative pharmaceutical enterprise in SIP, is on the list.
Statistics show that SIP now has more than 2,000 R&D organizations founded by enterprises and accredited by authorities at different levels. Last year, 123 R&D organizations in SIP were rated provincial-level ones, and 162 recognized as city-level ones.
The R&D organizations have accelerated inventions and innovations in such fields as new drug development, high-end equipment manufacturing and digital technology, which have brought about significant economic benefits. The total output value of SIP’s top three emerging industries, namely the biomedical, nanotech application and AI industries, was estimated to be more than RMB360 billion last year. Besides, more and more talents are flowing into SIP.
