SIP saw 89 projects launched on the first workday of 2023. These projects, with a total investment of RMB 55.7 billion, are expected to help accelerate SIP’s pace of opening-up and innovation.
Shen Mi, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, spoke at the event, and Lin Xiaoming, deputy secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee and director of SIP Administrative Committee, presided over the launching ceremony.
Among the projects are four at the Jinji Lake Right Bank Zone (Cultural Corridor by Water), a zone with a land area of 635,000 square meters along the about 3,860-meter shore of Jinji Lake. Under these projects, a commercial complex will be set up at Suzhou Central Plaza, and Suzhou Contemporary Art Museum, a Mandarin Oriental hotel and a new Ferris wheel will be built.
The other projects include 49 industrial projects focused on new-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, modern services and so on, and a number of infrastructure and living facilities.
