tesa Site Suzhou (tSS), a branch of tesa, a Germany-headquartered supplier of sustainable adhesive solutions, opened the R&D and Customer Solution Center in SIP on Oct 14 to expand its R&D capacity to provide complete customized solutions and services for clients in the Asia-Pacific region.
With a history of 125 years, tesa has developed into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of self-adhesive product and system solutions for industry, professional craftsmen, and consumers. The company founded tesa Plant Suzhou in SIP in 2005, and has since then added investment several times to expand and improve its operations in the area.
Richard Cuntz, consul for science and education affairs at the Consulate General of Germany in Shanghai, participated in the opening ceremony of the center. He spoke highly of SIP’s investment environment and conditions for science and technology development.
“The new facility will provide support for tesa’s business goal under the global strategy, and will tighten the ties between the company and the Chinese market and clients,” said Frank Kolmorgen, member of the Executive Board, Industry at tesa.
