SW started construction on its first overseas factory in SIP in May 2015, and has since then made a series of efforts to expand its presence in the area. The new project will provide SW-designed multi-spindle machining centers and customized smart production lines, according to Norbert Wiest, managing director of SW’s operations in China.
The project is set to complete at the end of this year, when the SIP-based complex will become SW’s biggest overseas R&D and manufacturing facility in the world.
