SIP-based enterprise declared a “little giant” by the MIIT

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China recently announced its third list of “little giants”, namely, specialized, refined, differential and innovative (SRDI) enterprises it has chosen to form an elite league that is expected to help the country pave the way to become a world-class manufacturing power. SIP-based Suzhou SIP Hi-Tech Precision Electronics Co Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Hi-Tech) is on the list.

Founded in 2006, Hi-Tech is a leading provider of high-end functional composite material solutions. It develops and manufactures such products as adhesives, tapes, thermal materials, foams, EMI shielding materials and labeling materials for the consumer electronics, new energy vehicles, semiconductors, 5G communications, Internet of Things, medical and other industries.

The company currently has four wholly-owned subsidiaries, one branch office, and eight marketing networks around the globe. It is building a new manufacturing, operation and R&D facility in SIP’s Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort with a total investment of RMB 560 million. The project is expected to yield 2.08 billion pieces of composite materials for printing and 4.16 billion pieces of die-cut products each year after its completion.

As a little giant designated by the MIIT, Hi-Tech will receive financial support from the MIIT and the Ministry of Finance for its innovation, digitalization, brand building and international development, which will allow it to greatly improve its competitiveness in domestic and overseas markets.
