SEW-Eurodrive, the German company which received the outstanding contribution award in 2008 for providing perfect whole-set drive control products for the Beijing Summer Olympics, won wide praise again for its flawless equipment and technical support for the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics that kicked off in Beijing on Feb 4.
SEW-Eurodrive’s Suzhou team joined the preparation for the grand event in January as an alternate after their colleagues in Tianjin had to cancel their trip to Beijing due to a sudden rebound of the COVID-19 epidemic in Tianjin.
The Suzhou team, including three automation engineers and one mechanical engineer, debugged and adjusted the devices from SEW-Eurodrive repeatedly on site over the next one month to ensure the best effect at the opening ceremony.
It is learnt that SEW-Eurodrive has provided hundreds of gear motors and smart products for the event’s opening and closing ceremonies as well as a large number of tailored products for venues in the Beijing and Zhangjiakou competition zones.
