The finals of the 2021 (11th) Highly Skilled Talents’ Competition cum 3rd Jinji Lake Skills Invitational started in SIP on Oct 31. A total of 2,987 contestants, nearly half of the total participants, gained the entry to the finals of 22 contests after the preliminaries and semi-finals starting from July.
The Highly Skilled Talents’ Competition cum Jinji Lake Skills Invitational is held annually in SIP for the purpose of honoring highly skilled workers in different industries and luring talents to SIP. The previous sessions, with a total investment of RMB 40 million, attracted 26,000 people to compete in more than 100 contests.
This year’s event comprises over 20 contests, including 13 with contestants from enterprises outside SIP. Besides, the competition program incorporates seven group contests, and adopts a third-party assessment and certification mechanism to grant the “vocational skill improvement subsidy” to eligible contestants.
