SIP Administrative Committee and Chinese investment company Hillhouse signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Apr 20, several days after the committee’s director Ding Lixin and his contingent visited the company’s headquarters in Beijing.
Hillhouse inaugurated the H.I. Center in SIP at the same time to promote industrial innovation, accelerate application of advanced technologies, and give small- and medium-sized enterprises a helping hand in breaking through bottlenecks in their development.
The Suzhou Hillhouse Qirui Medical and Health Care Fund was established concurrently, focusing on investment in businesses in such sectors as biomedicine, CRO (contract research organization) services, medical devices and services.
Additionally, with the help of Hillhouse, a CRO and two medical technology companies signed agreements with SIP Administrative Committee to launch their projects in SIP.
With investment in hundreds of businesses across the world, Hillhouse said it will give full play to its global resources and influence to help introduce more high-growth, innovative businesses into Suzhou.
