Rational AG, a German company which is engaged in developing and manufacturing professional cooking appliances, opened an R&D and manufacturing facility in Xinda Industrial Park, SIP on Mar 26.
Rational AG is a global leader in special-purpose equipment, and the inventor of combi oven for commercial kitchens. It has developed a variety of multi-functional cooking systems and digital kitchen management systems which account for over 50% of the global multi-functional equipment market.
The R&D and manufacturing facility is Rational AG’s first facility of its kind outside Europe. Rational AG started to build it last year with a total investment of US$25 million, hoping to enhance R&D of high-end cooking systems for the Chinese market.
