Yu Shiyang, director of the Department of Big Data Development at the State Information Center, a public institution directly affiliated to the National Development and Reform Commission, and his contingent visited SIP on Feb 11 for a survey aimed at promoting transfer of computing resources from the more prosperous eastern regions of the country to the less developed yet resource-rich western regions.
In the tour, the delegation visited several enterprises in SIP, including AISpeech, a developer of intelligent voice interaction technology, Juhe Data, an Internet data service company, and Sungent Digital Technology Co Ltd, a big data arm of SIP-based multi-business conglomerate Sungent Group.
In the enterprises, the visitors learnt details about their R&D projects and business plans, and experienced their products and technologies. Yu gave high praise to the enterprises and hoped that they could grow stronger with the support from authorities at different levels and make greater contributions to the development of digital economy in the country.
