A CIIE fair, the first of its kind in Suzhou, opened at Jiuguang Department Store in SIP on Jan 20, making more than 1,000 kinds of imported commodities that won great popularity at the fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) available to local residents.
As a cooperative project between SIP and Greenland Global Commodity Trading Hub Group, which runs a number of trading hubs in Shanghai, Tianjin and other cities to market imported commodities shown at the annual CIIE, the fair gathered products from 22 countries in four continents.
Jiuguang Department Store and the fair jointly designed a lucky bag and a Spring Festival gift pack for the participants, and the pine nuts from Pakistan, wine from Italy and New Zealand and many other products won great favor of the customers.
It is reported that the second CIIE fair is under planning and is expected to open on the bank of Jinji Lake in the spring.
