Within five hours, an enterprise in SIP went through all the procedures of applying for business license and official seal, opening a bank account and making tax declaration at the SIP R-Community One-Stop Government Service Station in the SIP Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China (AgBank).

“It used to take a company several days to finish all of them,” said an executive from the enterprise, who was surprised by the service efficiency.

It is learnt that the SIP R-Community service system was set up in 2020 for the purpose of improving last-mile services for enterprises and residents. The first SIP R-Community One-Stop Government Service Station was inaugurated at SIP’s biomedicine cluster BioBAY, and since then an increasing number of outlets of the same kind have been opened at different industrial clusters and commercial complexes to provide various public services concerning people’s livelihood and services highly demanded by enterprises.

Recently, two AgBank branches and a branch of the Bank of Suzhou joined the SIP R-Community system, which has increased the number of banks within the system to 11.

In addition to common administrative and financial services, these SIP R-Community outlets offer some services according to the banks’ business scope and the needs of the businesses and people in the nearby areas. For example, Japanese and South Korean tourists can apply for a Su-Pay account at the outlet at the branch of Bank of Suzhou in the free trade zone for mobile payment during their stay in Suzhou, and businesses can apply for the bank’s loan for technology export.

It is worth mentioning that many of the services at the SIP R-Community outlets are handled online, which can save the applicants lots of time and efforts.
