SIP launched an emergency response mechanism on Nov 25 to carry out mass nucleic acid testing and take other precautions after Shanghai reported three COVID-19 positive people who toured Suzhou from Nov 19 to 21.
Testing has been carried out in related scenic spots, communities, hotels and other places involved. Local medics and laboratory workers have been working overtime to take and test samples. So far, SIP’s health service system has tested 11,240 samples, all negative.
On the other hand, the epidemic prevention task group of SIP’s Jinji Lake CBD has installed more than 300 electronic locks for a hotel in quarantine.
The local administrative staff and volunteers have joined to inform residents of the notice on nucleic acid testing and help with the sampling.
