The final of the 2021 (10th) Jinji Lake Startup Contest was held in SIP on Oct 19. More than 500 people from investment organizations, startups and other organizations were present, and 20 projects won the top three places.
Held annually since 2012, Jinji Lake Startup Contest is aimed at discovering promising startups and teams and lending them a hand in their early development. Each year, the contest lasts for months at several places home and abroad, and the winners can gain money awards, investment and all-around business support.
This year’s event included a succession of online and offline rivalries home and abroad, including the legs in Japan and Singapore where the contest was introduced for the first time.
It is worth mentioning that the organizing committee of this year’s contest recruited 59 partners including investors and entrepreneurs from 25 cities worldwide to work with it to provide directions and support for the contestants.
The final gathered eight teams with 110 projects focusing on medical devices, biomedicine, AI, business services, smart manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor and nano materials, consumer services and other industries, and 20 projects emerged as winners.
China Investment Center for Start-up Talents, one of the sponsors, signed talent service agreements with four project teams, and three project teams signed agreements with investors.
