Suzhou Industrial Park One-stop Service Centre for Expats is cooperating with Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and other universities in SIP to offer a service package to help new teachers and students from overseas get used to local life.
From September 6 to 15, the centre offers the “New Semester Package” to introduce foreign teachers and students to local food and scenic spots, teach them to use WeChat and other apps, and offer them tips on living in SIP.
“It is very helpful. It is great to have an expat service organization like this,” said Mercia Isabella Robbertze, a teacher at XJTLU who came from South Africa.
