The Comprehensive High School Affiliated to Suzhou Industrial Park Open University, with a land area of about 28,300 square meters and a floor area of about 44,000 square meters, has been ready to welcome 12 classes of fresh students on its new site in the upcoming new semester.
With an investment of RMB228 million, the school is designed to enroll 1,800 students in 36 classes after it is totally completed. The first phase of the project will come into use a few days later for Grade-1 students from SIP, Gusu District and Suzhou New District.
The school is next to Chaoqian Road Experimental School in the east, and is in consistency with it in architectural style. The two schools share parts of their spaces, such as the gymnasium, canteen and playground, and also plan to collaborate in curriculum design in the future.
