Sponsored by the Administrative Committee of Suzhou Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation Zone, the 1st “Dushu Lake Wisdom” Collegiate Science and Technology and Culture Festival kicked off in the zone on May 19, and will last till June 30. Officials from SIP authorities, executives of 21 higher education institutions in the zone and over 40 students attended the opening ceremony.
The festival consists of one activity at the main venue and a variety of activities featuring science, technology and culture at a number of schools.
The 2023 “Dushu Lake Wisdom” Collegiate S&T Innovation Plan was unveiled at the opening ceremony. The plan includes a makers’ contest that is open to vocational school students and undergraduates, and an innovation training program for graduate students and doctoral candidates.
The “Dushu Lake Wisdom” New Cultural Ecosystem Alliance was inaugurated concurrently to provide a platform for cultural exchanges between schools in the zone.
A number of students from different schools were designated as “campus ambassadors” who serve in various public-benefit campaigns to help students in schools know better about the zone and convey students’ needs to local authorities.
