Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), a cooperative university founded by China’s Xi’an Jiaotong University and the UK’s University of Liverpool in Suzhou Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation Zone in SIP, hosted the 2023 (8th) Annual Meeting on Education Innovation cum the 10th Huihu Education Internationalization Forum from May 18 to 21. About 700 educators, researchers and representatives from enterprises participated.
The event consisted of speeches, forums, roundtables, workshops, a students’ innovation and entrepreneurship contest and other components which were designed to showcase and inspire innovative teaching philosophies and practices for higher, basic and vocational education.
At the event, XJTLU executive president Xi Youmin gave a speech revolving around methods that universities could use to reshape education with digital and intelligent technologies.
Prof. Wei Jiang, dean of School of Management at Zhejiang University, gave an introduction to the school’s education system and objectives of talent cultivation.
Sun Xuewen, vice president of Suzhou Vocational University, shared his views on cultivation of digitally savvy talents.
Cao Lunhua, president of Lunhua Education, an education group in Suzhou, gave the participants a talk on challenges and opportunities that ChatGPT has presented for education.
