The children of six rural primary schools in Dalu town, Jingyuan county, Baiyin city, Northwest China’s Gansu province each received an insulated water bottle on Apr 28. All these water bottles were donated by three kindergartens in SIP, which is more than 1,900 kilometers away.
It is learnt that Xietang Sub-district Experimental Kindergarten, Xinghu Kindergarten and Chefang Kindergarten in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district have organized a series of charity bazaars to raise money to help children in less-developed mountainous areas in the western part of the country.
Around the New Year’s Day of 2022, the kindergartens respectively raised RMB24,718, RMB19,655.5 and RMB16,102.5 by holding the bazaars where the participating children and their families sold home-made food, handiworks and idle and second-hand articles. They used the money to buy books, school supplies and water bottles for the students in several rural schools in Sichuan and Gansu provinces.
The students in the schools in Dalu town were very happy with the insulated stainless steel bottle. Now, they have warm water to drink even in winter.
