Shen Jian, director of SIP Education Bureau, attended the online 2022 Theme Forum on Digitalization in Basic Education on Dec 7 when he shared SIP’s experience in digitalization in education with over 40 domestic and foreign education experts.
The forum, jointly sponsored by Shanghai Normal University and Shanghai Municipal Institute of Teacher Education, was designed to promote exchanges on use of digital technology to improve quality of basic education.
Shen gave a speech entitled “Practices in Digitalizing Education to Better Cater to Students’ Individual Needs” at the event. In the process, he shared his views on a series of problems in basic education, such as lack of high-quality educational resources, low level of fitness of educational programs for students and simple evaluation criteria, and gave the participants an introduction to SIP’s efforts and achievements in solving the problems by employing digital technology.
Many people from the education circle in SIP watched the live stream of the event.
