Xietang Sub-district Experimental Kindergarten in SIP recently hosted a charity bazaar where the children raised RMB 24,718 for the purpose of building libraries for children in less-developed mountainous areas in the western part of the country.
The event went on with precautions against coronavirus. In the process, the kids tried their best to peddle their “products” which included second-hand toys, school supplies and books they brought, handiworks their made, and candies and other products they selected together with their teachers.
The money raised through the event has been donated to Suzhou Good Deeds Charity Center, a local charity that runs a number of programs aimed at helping poverty-stricken children.
